My name is Jay Dostal and I am the Principal of Kearney High School. I was born and raised in Omaha, Nebraska and am a graduate of Omaha Westside High School. My undergraduate career was spent at UNK where I earned endorsements in English and Physical Education. I was also a Tight End for the Loper football team and continue to support them today. My graduate work was completed at the University of Nebraska where I earned my M.A. and Ed.D. in Educational Administration and Supervision. My dissertation work was a comparative efficacy study that compared student achievement results for students in a block schedule to those in a traditional seven-period schedule.
